If Tsujimoto-san drags out that comparison he must also tell that there are now many many many more gamers that buy games than there were during the super nintendo days.
In addition, the times of console exclusive games is gone for the most part and almost all publishers dish out their games on all platforms.
YES, games cost more to make but they sell more and with microtransactions and dlc’s, too. So I don’t see how gamecompanys don’t make enough money already.
Besides, it’s their decision to make them longer and longer and more costly in the end. How about the industry goes back from 50 to 100 hour games to 20 to 30? They will be cheaper and it’s not like there still wouldn’t be enough to play…just my 2 cents
